Study abroad semester in Slovenia
Slovenia is an ex-Yugoslavian country close to Italy and Austria. It is a predominantly mountainous nation. Climate is favorable and not too harsh. Slovenia is a member of the European Union and of the Eurozone. As the westernmost ex-Yugoslavian country, cultural traditions are quite close to the European ones, especially to the Italian and Austrian ones. Life expectancy and health services are good, and the country enjoys overall a good level of wealth. Tourism has boomed since its independence in the 90s. Sports are highly practiced, and open-air activities are preferred both on the sea at Koper and on the Alps.
