Hanyang University proudly pioneered the very first university-level summer school in Korea and continues to lead as the country’s largest and most dynamic seasonal program.
Every year, over 2,000 students in summer and more than 1,000 students in winter from around the world join Hanyang International Summer School (HISS) and Hanyang International Winter School (HIWS) to experience both academic excellence and cultural immersion in the heart of Seoul.
HISS is a four-week program offering more than 70 courses taught in English, spanning diverse fields such as business, engineering, social sciences, Korean culture, and language. Students can earn academic credits while exploring life on one of Korea’s most innovative campuses.
Beyond the classroom, participants enjoy an unforgettable cultural journey through K-pop dance workshops, Taekwondo lessons, traditional crafts, palace visits, and local excursions to amusement parks and scenic spots around Korea.
