About

Konkuk University’s International Summer School is a four-week academic and cultural immersion program held in the heart of Seoul, offering students a unique opportunity to earn academic credits while experiencing contemporary Korean culture firsthand.

One of the program’s most distinctive strengths is its small-scale, highly interactive Buddy Program, which emphasizes meaningful one-on-one and group interaction between international participants and Konkuk University students. Unlike large, lecture-based summer programs, Konkuk’s approach fosters close personal connections, continuous support, and authentic cultural exchange throughout the program.

In addition, Konkuk University is the only university in Korea to officially incorporate the iconic WATERBOMB K-POP Festival into its summer school experience. Early-bird participants may receive complimentary access to this globally renowned music and water festival, offering students an exclusive cultural highlight that cannot be experienced through any other Korean university summer program.

Combined with guaranteed on-campus housing, credit-bearing courses, and well-organized excursions, Konkuk University’s International Summer School delivers a carefully balanced experience of academics, culture, and student engagement—making it a truly distinctive summer program in Korea.
