The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute, also known as CERGE-EI, is an academic institution resulting from a partnership between the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education of Charles University and the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. CERGE-EI offers Western-style, US-chartered, graduate economics education on PhD level. It is located in the Schebek Palace in the center of Prague. CERGE-EI is recognized as a global center of excellence in the economic field and so has study exchange partnerships with some of the best universities in the world, including, just to name a few: Bocconi University, Harvard University and University College London.
