Cyprus University of Technology is a newborn university based in Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus. It was officially inaugurated in September 2007 with the goal of filling the gaps that still exist within Cyprus’ higher education by offering degrees in undergraduate and post graduate levels that are not offered by the University of Cyprus or by other higher education institutions in the area. Despite its young age, the institution is already recognized globally: Times Higher Education, one of the major universities ranking organizations, places Cyprus University of Technology among the top 350 universities in the world.
