Doshisha University (Research only)

Doshisha University is a Japanese private university in Kyoto City, Japan. It is considered as one of the most prestigious and selective universities in the country. Established in 1875, it is one of Japan’s oldest private institutions of higher learning, and has approximately 30.000 students enrolled on four different campuses in Kyoto. It is one of the Japanese “Global 30” universities and one university belonging to “Kankandoritsu”, a group of the four leading private universities in western Japan’s Kansai region. NBP Kansai ranks Doshisha University 3rd in Japan, and 1st among private universities for its reputation. Shimano National Selectivity ranking places the institution at an A1 level, the highest possible in the country.
