Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is a Hungarian public research university based in Budapest. Founded in 1635, ELTE is one of the largest and most prestigious public higher education institutions in Hungary. It is affiliated with 5 Nobel laureates, as well as winners of the Wolf Prize, Fulkerson Prize and Abel Prize. Its students come from more than 70 different countries. The university is therefore a trusted partner of 450 higher education establishments, and an active member of 9 prestigious international university organizations, making more than 1.000 of its students go abroad each year. ELTE is located throughout Budapest, on the scenic banks of the Danube river.
