Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is a public university of applied sciences in Frankfurt am Main, which provides about 38 study programmes in architecture and civil engineering, business and business law, informatics and engineering, social work and health. Its earliest predecessor, the “Königliche Baugewerkschule” was founded in 1908, while the actual university was created in 1971 by integrating various existing institutions. It now has a truly international environment, counting more than 15.000 students from more than 100 nations, and approximately 200 partner universities in more than 50 countries. The university is part of the IT-Cluster Rhine-Main-Neckar, also known as the “Silicon Valley of Europe”.
