Marangoni Fashion Institute is a private Italian school of fashion and design based in Milan. The school was founded in 1935 by the tailor Giulio Marangoni, and later became a professional art school in 1942. At first the school trained mainly pattern makers and seamstresses; in the 1970s and 1980s it turned towards fashion design, product development and marketing. The teaching spaces of Marangoni Fashion Institute have tested the talents of four generations of professionals, hailing from 106 different countries and representing the heritage of the school. Courses consist of constant contact, through the faculty, with the most important companies in the sector. It is often cited as one of the most prestigious fashion schools in the world.
