National Central University (NCU) is a Taiwanese public university founded in 1915. It has become Taiwan’s leading school in drama, film studies, cultural studies, gender studies, Hakka studies, geophysics, space science, remote sensing, astronomy, optoelectronics, nanotechnology, business management, as well as the first university in Taiwan to make research about industrial economics and economic development. The university was selected by the Ministry of Education as one of the national seven research universities. NCU participates in the Taiwan International Graduate Program in Earth System Science of Academia Sinica, Taiwan’s most preeminent academic research institution. It is also AACSB accredited. The university is included in the notable ARWU, QS, and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
