The Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) is a public university college created in 2014 by merging the School of Dance and Circus, the University College of Opera, and the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. It has about 500 students and 250 employees. Through its pioneering educational environment and innovative research, the aim of the institution is to increase the power of the arts. In 2016 SKH became the first university of the arts in Sweden to be granted the right to award degrees at third-cycle level. Its goal is to build a unified community that encourages responsible artistic and creative boldness by creating a collaborative culture based on a strong sense of inclusivity, responsibility, trust and commitment, where differences are embraced.
