The Australian National University

Established in 1946, The Australian National University is the only university to have been created by the Parliament of Australia. After the establishment of Australia’s capital Canberra, The Australian National University became a flagship of Australian’s excellence in research and teaching. It is a member of several associations, such as: Group of Eight, Association of Pacific Rim Universities, the International Alliance of Research Universities, UNESCO Chairs, U7 Alliance, Winter Institute and Global Scholars Program. Its international network is rich and prestigious, and includes members such as: Yale University, MIT, and Oxford University. The Australian National University is considered a top-100 university by almost every major international ranking.
