The University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO) is a young Italian public university, founded in 1998 from 7 faculties detached from the University of Turin. The local communities provided good support to its settlement, along with remarkable investments made by the university itself. Today, every department is located in prestigious historical buildings that have been equipped with cutting edge technology. With 12.000 enrolled students, 400 professors and researchers and 300 employees, UPO considers itself as a young, competitive, multi-campus institution. 80% of its graduates come from families where a higher degree is earned for the first time by one of its members, hence the university allows families to meet the challenges of modern times and to prepare their children to face our globalized world.
