University of the Arts London is a public art university located in London, England. It gained the official university status quite recently, in 2004, but its roots date way back in time. The institution is a federation of six arts colleges: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, the London College of Communication, the London College of Fashion, and the Wimbledon College of Arts. Being an art-only university, its student body is quite wide, with nearly 20.00 students, and is fourth among United Kingdom institutions by number of international students. Its excellence is rewarded by QS World University Rankings by Subject, which places University of the Arts London as the 2nd best institution in the world in Art & Design.
