Victoria University of Wellington

Established in 1897, Victoria University of Wellington is a public university located in Wellington, New Zealand. It is named after Queen Victoria, as 1897 was the 60th anniversary of her coronation. The university boasts a good number of internationally recognised academics and has excellent facilities for students, including a purpose built building on the Kelburn campus dedicated to student study spaces, retail and social areas. At Victoria University of Wellington, students can immerse themselves in the culture of New Zealand by joining one of over 100 social, sporting and cultural clubs and societies and a number of extra-curricular programmes that can enhance them personally and professionally. It is ranked as the 215th best university in the world by QS World University Rankings.
