Toyohashi University of Technology

Founded in 1976, Toyohashi University of Technology is a national engineering university located in Toyohashi, Japan. Distinguished for the upper-division student body, where over 80% of them are transfer students from 5-year Technical Colleges called Kōsens, the Toyohashi University of Technology is one of the only two Universities of Technology in the country, the other being Nagaoka University of Technology. The university is also quite famous for the fact that majority of its students proceed to graduate schools. Toyohashi University of Technology conducts research in technological science, fostering practical, creative, and leading engineers and researchers as it forges a path toward a new era.
