Founded in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1928, Aarhus University (AU) is the largest and second oldest research university in Denmark. The university is ranked among the world’s best universities by many ranking organizations: 65th by the Shanghai Ranking, 89th by National Taiwan University Ranking, 95th by the U.S. News & World Report, 109th by Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and 141th by QS World University Rankings. It is home to over thirty internationally recognised research centres, including fifteen Centres of Excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. AU is one of the few universities in the world to hold a “Triple Crown” accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS). Its campus has been ranked as one of the 10 most beautiful ones in the world by Times Higher Education.
