Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a public research university in Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong. HKUST was born in the ‘90s, when the leaders of Hong Kong saw a need to build a new, research-focused university to support the city’s future ambitions. Despite being very young, the university performs extremely well in rankings: it is positioned as 1^st in the World’s Top 350 Young Universities 2020 by Times Higher Education and 27^th in the QS World Universities Ranking 2021. Also, the university holds excellent results when it comes to employability of its graduates, with a 10^th place in the world according to the Global University Employability Ranking of 2019.
