Nord University is a young Norwegian state university formed by a merger between the University of Nordland, Nesna University College and Nord-Trøndelag University College in 2016. It has strong regional ties and a focus on developing regional networks with communities, business and industries in the High North, while keeping a global perspective. The university is committed to delivering relevant educational programmes and research, with a focus on blue and green growth, innovation and entrepreneurship, and welfare, health and education. Nord University has study locations in central and northern Norway, with state of the art teaching and research facilities, located in a spectacular northern setting.
