Founded by Francis Ormond in 1887, RMIT is a is a world leader university in Art and Design, Architecture and the Built Environment, Engineering, Accounting and Finance, Business and Management Studies. It began as a night school offering classes in art, science, and technology, in response to the industrial revolution in Australia. With an annual revenue of around A$1,3 billion, RMIT is also one of the wealthiest universities in the country.
