The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH Upper Austria) is a public university of applied sciences founded in 1993, with the aim to provide the state of Upper Austria with an internationally competitive locational advantage through cooperation with business and research activities. It is one of the top Austrian universities of applied sciences and offers an internationally recognised, well-established, practice-oriented education at university level at four locations in the central region of Upper Austria. It is a pretty small university, counting nearly 6.000 students over 68 study courses. Despite its small size, FH Upper Austria has access to an extensive global network of 250 partner universities spread across the world.
