Visa and immigration

European students:
As a European citizen, a national of a member country of the European Economic Area (EEA) or a Swiss national, you can stay and move freely around in France without a temporary residence permit.

Non-European students:
If you are a national of a non-European country, you must seek for a ” short-term ” visa if your training last less than 3 months, and a ” long-stay ” visa if your training last more than 3 months. Please note that you must include proof of enrollment in a higher education institution when applying for your visa.

To find out the procedure suited to your nationality and the duration of your stay, you can refer to the France-Visas website. A representative of IPAG’s international service can also assist you.
