Accommodation

Konkuk offers a guaranteed on-campus dormitory for every international student. KU:L House, the dormitory of Konkuk University, can host more than 3,300 students in 4 Halls: Dream, Frontier, Vision, and Lake. In addition to the residence halls, it has its own cafeteria, which serves breakfast/dinner during weekdays, and all three meals during the weekends/holidays. (Meal plan is available for subscription, and single ticket is available for purchase)

Social and extracurricular activities

Konkuk offers various Social and Extracurricular Activities:
Internship: internship at the International Office, and research labs (based on demand from the labs), you can study and do the internship at the same time at Konkuk. If you apply for the Full-semester internship programme, you can also earn credits based on the programme (up tp 30 ECTS per semester)

Visa and immigration

* D-2-8 (Visiting Student) visa is required for free movers.
Upon your acceptance, Konkuk provides an admission package that includes all necessary documents, including the “Certificate of Admission”, “Acceptance Letter”, and “Business Certificate of Konkuk”. Thanks to the International Education Quality Assurance Certification (IEQAS) awarded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, students applying for Konkuk do not need to submit a bank statement.

* Residence Card (ARC/RC)
The D-2-8 Visa is a single-entry visa, and students must register with the immigration office within 90 days of arrival. To streamline the process, Konkuk hires an agency to handle the foreign registration, which helps students obtain their residence cards. Students can NOT leave Korea before receiving their ARCs; leaving Korea before issuance may result in cancellation of the visa and the Free Mover Program.
