Life in

Paris

Accommodation

Finding a place to stay is undoubtedly one of the top priorities of any student moving to the French capital. But let’s be upfront: finding an accommodation in Paris isn’t exactly a walk in the park and prices can be quite steep.

This is mainly due to the capital’s development policy, which strictly forbids the construction of high buildings in order to preserve the city’s stunning architecture. But the fact is every square metre of Paris is already occupied and there’s simply no more room to spread. This results in a lack of accommodation, which is all the more daunting at the beginning of every school year, when thousands of students flock into the city at the exact same time, looking for a place to stay.

Don’t worry, though: our Accommodation Guide is specifically designed to help you every step of the way and make your accommodation hunt in the French capital a success!

Please note that Paris School of Business does not provide on- or off-campus accommodation. The International Office and our Student experience officer are, however, at your disposal if you have any question regarding your arrival in Paris or need any assistance in finding an accommodation in the city.

Social and extracurricular activities

Association life is an integral part of life on campus, enabling students to get involved, create links and set up large-scale projects. It is also a means for them to enrich their CV and distinguish themselves during their search for internships, work-study placements or employment.

For our students, associations provide a wonderful laboratory in which to hone their ability to work in teams and mount projects linked to their areas of interest whilst managing the budget allocated to them.

Having acquired knowledge via the academic program, students have the chance to apply it in order to turn theory into sustainable skills.

Associations also offer the perfect opportunity to accelerate social insertion into the school. From the beginning of the academic year, our newcomers join associations with students from all classes, sharing the same areas of interest. Be it sport, humanitarian work, cooking or entrepreneurship, each student finds the project that suits them.

This is a unique chance to share, settle into the school, exchange ideas and enjoy a fulfilling student life.

Visa and immigration

If you are a non-EU citizen and intend to stay in France for a period exceeding 90 days, you will likely need a long-stay visa equivalent to a Residence Permit (VLS-TS, or visa de long séjour valant titre de séjour). You should start the visa application process at least 3 months before your desired departure date. Contact the nearest French consulate or Campus France to initiate the process.

Student experiences

Among all, the experience was very good I liked the most the persons that are on international relations office that are always there to help us and very efficiently. The courses were almost all very interesting and I would recommend it.

Ismael from Spain

It was really great to experience a new culture and interact so much with other cultures, good mix of learning and sightseeing, and good community vibe between the students. Professors explained a lot of new ideas regarding luxury to us, and gave lots of stories from their personal experience to help illustrate things which was really helpful. They were happy to answer questions we had.
