TBS Education Summer School 2026 recap

TBS Education’s Summer School has hosted more than 800 international students since it launched in 2010, drawing from 85 partner universities and 40 countries. Two campuses run the program each year: Toulouse and Barcelona.

This year’s edition once again brought together students from a wide range of partner universities, all sharing an academic and cultural experience inside TBS Education. Tracks ran two to five weeks and covered current business themes, including artificial intelligence, innovation, entrepreneurship, project management, and managerial economics. International professors and industry experts led sessions, giving participants multiple perspectives on the challenges facing management today.

Beyond the classroom, the program paired coursework with a full calendar of activities built around cultural exchange and local immersion. In Toulouse, students took part in company visits, excursions around Toulouse and Albi, a regional cheese and wine tasting, meetings with the TBS Education team, and networking events with local businesses.

The Barcelona track ran from July 6 to July 24 and welcomed 63 students representing 18 nationalities. Alongside coursework, they explored Catalonia through excursions to Sitges, a catamaran outing, and a Segway tour of the city. Company visits to organizations including Freixenet and Barcelona Activa gave students a closer look at the region’s economic ecosystem. Moments like these built lasting connections between students who arrived from every corner of the world.

Across its editions, Summer School has deepened its commitment to sustainability, both in what students learned and in how the program itself was organized. The 2026 edition connected coursework to several UN Sustainable Development Goals: students engaged with responsible management, business ethics, and sustainable innovation, and took part in exchanges under the European Erasmus+ KA220 REMaF project, which supports international academic partnerships and ties into SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals.

Personalized support, cross-cultural activities, and a program built around inclusion and dialogue between participants also advanced SDG 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by fostering more inclusive and globally engaged communities. A B2B partnership with the University of Business and Technology (UBT) in Saudi Arabia brought 21 students to the Barcelona campus, supporting SDG 4, Quality Education, by extending access to international, high-quality instruction in cooperation with an emerging-market partner. The program also took a more responsible approach to mobility, using collective bus transport and organizing visits to local businesses known for their work in sustainable development.

For over fifteen years, Summer School has strengthened TBS Education’s international profile, hosting hundreds of students from around the world and deepening ties with partner universities. Coordinated by the Direction of International Relations and Accreditations (DRAI), the program mobilizes academic, administrative, and logistics teams across both campuses every year, turning Summer School into more than a seasonal program: an international, academic, and human experience that reflects TBS Education’s values of openness, responsibility, and excellence.
