About

Marbella International University Centre is a private British-accredited university focused on practical education with global relevance.

All programmes are taught in English and designed around small cohorts, close academic guidance, and direct access to experienced faculty. Teaching is intentionally interactive, with an emphasis on critical thinking, real-world application, and independent work rather than passive learning.

MIUC attracts international students from across Europe, West Asia, U.S., and beyond. This diversity shapes daily academic life, exposing students to different perspectives, cultures, and ways of thinking – a key part of the learning experience.

Our university maintains close links with industry and the professional world, ensuring that programmes remain relevant, current, and aligned with what graduates actually need after university. The goal is not volume, but quality: graduates who are confident, capable, and prepared to move forward with clarity.

MIUC is for students who take their education seriously and want a degree that means something in practice, not just on paper.

Accommodation

Students in Marbella have several housing options. One common choice is house or apartment sharing, where you rent a single or double room and share common areas with other students or young professionals. This option usually costs between €700 and €900 per month.

Studios are also available, typically ranging from €800 to €1,000 per month.

Renting a one-bedroom apartment costs about €1,200 per month, while a two-bedroom apartment costs about €1,600 per month. These figures are indicative and can vary depending on the season and personal preferences.

Another popular option is the Marbella Inturjoven Youth Hostel, located in the old town just ten minutes from the beach. The hostel offers Andalusian-style architecture, gardens, terraces with sea views, a swimming pool, sports facilities, and free Wi-Fi, with prices starting at €3,950 for a shared room over the academic year.
Meals, cleaning, study rooms, and 24-hour reception are included, and students can choose to pay a supplement for individual rooms.

For students interested in renting their own property, MIUC works with accredited real estate agents to help find suitable options. Standard long-term rental contracts in Marbella are usually for 11 months, and landlords typically require a deposit of one to three months’ rent.

Estate agents generally charge the equivalent of one month’s rent as commission. Because demand for housing rises sharply before and during the summer season, we recommend contacting us as early as possible to arrange housing ahead of your September or February start date.

Visa and immigration

Who Needs a VISA?

Anyone who is not an EU passport holder will need a student visa to study in Spain. While most requirements are fairly similar across countries, it’s important that you confirm the exact details with the Spanish Embassy or Consulate where you plan to apply. MIUC will provide you with the official information sheet issued by the relevant diplomatic office, but please note that requirements can occasionally change at short notice.

Important for international students
According to current Spanish immigration guidelines, all student visa applications must be submitted at least two months before the start of your course. We strongly encourage you to plan ahead and begin the process early to avoid unnecessary delays.

What Documents Do You Need?

To apply for a student visa to study in Spain, you’ll need to prepare specific documents. Requirements may vary slightly depending on your country of residence, so always confirm with the Spanish Embassy or Consulate where you’ll apply. Our admissions team ([email protected]) is also here to help.

Key documents usually include

A completed visa application form, a valid passport, proof of financial means (around €1,200 per month), private health insurance approved in Spain, a recent medical certificate, a criminal record check, your official MIUC admission letter, and proof of accommodation.

Plan ahead

Applications must be submitted at least two months before your course begins.

Timeline

If you submit all your supporting documents together with your application, your visa can often be processed in as little as one month. Be sure to check in advance whether any of your documents need to be apostilled or legalised, so there are no last-minute surprises.
