The University of Technology Tarbes Occitanie Pyrénées and the College of Sciences and Technologies for Energy and Environment (STEE) of the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) collaborate to offer a comprehensive and innovative education in engineering and computer sciences.
University of Technology Tarbes Occitanie Pyrénées, a prominent member of the Federal University of Toulouse and attached to the National Polytechnic Institute (INP) of Toulouse since 2002, boasts over 50 years of experience in training general engineers. Specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, the institution offers a 5-year program aligned with European standards, including semesters, ECTS evaluation, and a diploma supplement. The program culminates in an engineering diploma conferring a Master’s degree in Engineering (MEng). This training, which involves three industrial immersion periods, equips students with skills in studying, calculation, design, realization, and implementation of products and systems, while emphasizing human factors, the environment, standards, and security. Remarkably, 90% of the school’s graduates secure employment within six months post-studies in sectors like aeronautics, automobile, railway construction, and more.
Complementing this, the International Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences, hosted by both UPPA and University of Technology Tarbes Occitanie Pyrénées, addresses the evolving challenges of digital societies. This 1-year, full-time postgraduate program focuses on Industry 4.0 and the Smart Anything Everywhere (SAE) paradigm, offering specializations in Digital Manufacturing and IT Digital Transformation. Taught entirely in English, the program prepares students for both academic and industrial careers in fields like Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, AI, cloud computing, and more. Supported by the prestigious French Initiative of Excellence label I-SITE, the program benefits from the synergy of the Aerospace industry in the south-west valley of France and collaborates closely with research entities like the LIUPPA and the Production Engineering Laboratory (LGP).
Together, these programs at University of Technology Tarbes Occitanie Pyrénées and UPPA represent a blend of tradition and innovation, preparing students for a diverse range of careers in engineering and digital technology. Graduates from these programs are not only well-versed in theoretical knowledge but also possess practical expertise, making them valuable assets in various industries and research domains.
