Kyungpook National University (KNU) is a public national university founded in 1946 in Daegu by upgrading to the national university status its Colleges of Education, Medicine and Agriculture (with the Colleges of Education, Medicine, Agriculture, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Law and Political Sciences joining later).
