Established in 1991, Sciences Po Lille is a public and highly selective “Grande École”. It is part, among with other nine institutions of higher education, of the French Institutes of Political Studies. Sciences Po Lille is connected to the University of Lille 2 and participates to the University of Lille project and also to the Universities and Establishments Community of Lille (COMUE). The school’s focus is on educating France’s political and diplomatic personnel, but its academic focus spans not only on the political and economic sciences, but also law, communications, finance, business, urban policy, management, and journalism. Sciences Po Lille is one of the most selective French universities: the rate of admission is, as with all Grandes Écoles, very low, with an amission rate falling between 7% and 12%.
