Based in the center of Toulouse, next to the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, Sciences Po Toulouse is a highly selective political science Grande École founded in 1948, following an executive decree by General Charles de Gaulle. The institution is an autonomous body within Toulouse 1 University Capitole, and one of the nine Institutes of Political Studies of France. Like the other institutes of political studies, it provides students with general training in political sciences, law, sociology, economics and history. Its specialty is national security. Its 1.700 students are rigorously selected through a national entrance examination common to all the Sciences Po institutes in France. Sciences Po Toulouse has a strong international network of 150 partners across 5 continents.
