Named after Little Belt (Danish: Lillebælt), which is the strait between the Danish island Funen and the Jutland Peninsula, UCL University College is a Danish public university, the second-largest university college of applied sciences in Denmark. It has five campuses in different locations of the Southern Denmark Region. UCL aims to train professionals of tomorrow to be highly respected key players in a strongly cohesive welfare state, in which generating, spreading and utilising knowledge contribute to a sustainable welfare development. Internationalization is an important tool in this process, which contributes to improve quality and increase knowledge in both education and research.
