Founded in 1479, with a rich and full history, University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is the oldest university in Denmark and the second-oldest university in Scandinavia. As of today, 39 Nobel laureates have been affiliated with the university as students, alumni or faculty. UCPH is a top-tier institution recognized all over the world as a center of excellence: the Academic Ranking of World Universities ranks it as the 26th best university in the world, the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities Rankings ranks it as 32nd in the world, while QS World University Rankings ranks it as the 76th best university in the world.
