Established in 1911, Tsinghua University is a prestigious Chinese public university, member of the C9 League, also referred as “China’s Ivy League”. Admission to Tsinghua for both undergraduate and graduate schools is extremely competitive: the overall acceptance rate is lower than 0.1% for all high school students taking the entrance test. It is one of the most prestigious universities in the world: QS World University Rankings ranks Tsinghua University 16th in the world and 6th globally in its Graduate Employability Rankings. Since 2015, the university has overtaken the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to top the list of Best Global Universities for Engineering published by the U.S. News & World Report and is also ranked number one globally in Computer Science and Civic Engineering.
